TRIBUN-PAPUA.COM, JAYAPURA – Today 2 years ago, on February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially named the new coronavirus disease Covid-19.
Humans have been trying to avoid the virus for two years, which is enough to disrupt all aspects of social life.

The interaction of these questions must be limited to masks. No more tight handshakes, no more hugs, and no more gatherings that cause crowds.
Just to note, the naming of the virus occurred several months after the first cases were detected in Wuhan, China.
Quoted from History, Covid-19 is an acronym for “coronavirus disease 2019”.
At first people often referred to it as the Wuhan virus, mysterious pneumonia, or nCov-2019.
However, according to the WHO, the naming of a new infectious disease cannot contain a geographical location.
CO stands for corona, VI stands for virus, D stands for disease, and 2019 is the year it was first discovered.
The disease is named Covid-19. Meanwhile, the virus is the new corona virus or SARS-CoV-2.
