Circulating photos of the former Regent of East Kutai (Kutim), Ismunandar with his wife Encek UR Firgasih at a wedding. Both are convicts of the bribery case of the project who are currently being held at the Class I Tangerang Correctional Institution (Lapas).
The younger brother of Ismunandar, Sri Wahyuni, confirmed the photo. He explained that the two were attending the wedding of their second child, Siti Riska Nur Aisyah.
“Yes, that’s right, Mr. Ismunandar and mother (Encek) were present at their son’s event earlier,” Sri said when contacted, Thursday (10/2/2022).
Sri explained that the arrival of Ismunandar and his wife had obtained permission from Tanggerang Prison. The permit is said to be in accordance with the procedure.
“I already got a permit, it’s special. If not, how can you dare. The permit also has a procedure, right,” he explained.
The wedding ceremony for Ismunandar and Encek’s children was deliberately held at a restaurant in Tangerang, Banten on Thursday (10/2) morning. Sri said only the next of kin were invited.
“The event was deliberately held in Tangerang. Because you can’t go out of town,” he said.
“We also don’t invite many people to this event, only the closest family,” he continued.
Ismunandar and his wife are prisoners who stumbled on a corruption case in the East Kutai Regency Government (Pemkab).
Prior to his arrest, Ismunandar himself was a former regent of East Timor, while his wife, Encek, was the chairman of the East Timor DPRD.
Ismunandar and his wife were caught in a sting operation (OTT) with his wife and a head of Bappeda at a hotel in Jakarta by the KPK.
