Since then, children have been happy to return to it, as evidenced by eighteen reruns, each time with about a million views. That is why the screenwriter Evžen Gogela and the director Ivo macharáček decided to call back the righteous and honest robber Karabu (Ondřej vetchý), the treacherous mentors Ferenc (Miroslav Vladyka) and Lorence (Jiří Labus) and others. This time, however, not to the TV screen, but to the cinemas, where the fairy tale starts today.

Meanwhile, a young king (Tomáš Klus) has grown up from Prince Jakub, who has married Karab’s daughter Anička (Kamila janovičová) and they have a daughter johanka, who loves her grandfather and the stories he tells her in his cottage, where he is engaged in pottery craft.

After years of wandering, the exiled councilors decided to do some damage and plunder another neighboring kingdom. There reigns the young queen Julia (Veronika kubařová), the loser, which all noble suitors are afraid of, because she brings bad luck to them. And so lonely Juliet is inclined to listen to the one who breaks into her favor.

Unfortunately, the screenwriter of the film Evžen Gogela (three stones, intimacy, Helena series) does not belong to the top of the field, and Ivo macharáček obviously does not either, he is doing better in the director’s profession. The plot of their latest script uses practically all the already many times used fairy-tale models, and in the need to connect them jumps from one pair to another in a serial rather than a cinematic way.

The effort to captivate even adult or older viewers relies on a mumbled social spiel, but the language is the worst at all. Sometimes the characters use the” fairy tale “language, sometimes the current language, in which there are “nerds” and so on. It is pandering, it is wrong, and it happens, unfortunately, very often. But where else but in a fairy tale should one speak nice Czech? Without archaisms that children do not understand, but also without contemporary slang.

Still, the secret of the old bambitka 2 is not bad. This is mainly due to the cast, in which stands out the sovereign Ondřej vetchý, who has been living with Karaba since the first film, and Veronika kubařová, who plays her Julia as a “vozembouch” who falls and trips where she can, but has fun without slipping to the caricature.

Tomáš Klus is already somewhat stereotypically trubový for a king, but he will undoubtedly please the audience in particular. The songs of Václav Noid bárta performed by him are one of the joys of the whole film. Kamila janovičová is less convincing as the queen, but eight-year-old Valentyna bečková, who played rozárka in women in running, is already an experienced child star. Vladyka with Labus in the roles of counselors again amuses, as well as a few really successful jokes.

The mystery of the old bambitka is logically (because it goes to cinemas) more adventurous than the first film, Macharáček shot in attractive locations in eight different places, including the open-air museum in přerov nad Labem or the castle in Jindřichův Hradec. There are also children’s favorite animals. So they will definitely like the fairy tale.
