Juancho Hernangómez, traded to Utah Jazz

Spaniard Willy Fog-style leaves Spurs after three weeks

PARIS, 9 Feb. (Benin News) –

Spanish forward Juancho Hernangomez was involved in a classic three-way NBA trade on Wednesday, a day before the transfer window closes, leaving the San Antonio Spurs to join the Utah Jazz.

As ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports, the Spain international is packing his bags for another team change after just three weeks, with near-zero playing time, in San Antonio.

Although it has not been formalized, Juancho himself reacted on social networks at the same time as the news filtered out, posting a photo of Willy Fog’s old drawings and his return to the world. The Utah team will be wearing its third jersey this season.

The Jazz get Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Portland Trail Blazers) and Juancho, while the Spurs get Portland’s Tomas Satoransky and a second-round pick, while the Blazers sign Joe English and Elijah Hughes from the Jazz plus a second-round pick.

Juancho arrived in San Antonio in late January from the Boston Celtics, where he had played in 18 games. Since being selected 15th overall in the 2016 Draft by the Nuggets, the Spaniard has played in Denver, Minnesota, a stint with the Grizzlies where he didn’t play, Boston, the Spurs and now Utah.
