Pidcock celebrates World Cup victory with trip to New York

31.01.2022  | rsn) – Thomas Pidcock (Ineos Grenadiers) remains in the USA for a few more days after his triumph at the Fayetteville Cross Country World Championships. The 22-year-old Briton will fly from Kentucky to New York where he and his girlfriend will spend five days celebrating winning the rainbow jersey.

After his return to Europe and a two-day stay in Belgium, a short training camp in the Algarve is on Pidcock’s agenda. He will make his season debut on the road soon after at Volta ao Algarve (16-20 February) before the 22-year-old competes at the following Belgian openingsweekend at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (26 February) and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne ( February 27) starts. Strade Bianche (March 5th) and Milan-Sanremo (March 19th) will follow in March.

According to wielerflits and other unconfirmed reports, Pidcock’s future plans will also include the classics Dwars Door Vlaanderen, Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race, Brabantse Pijl, Flèche Wallone and Liège-Bastogne-Liège.
