One of the most sought after little monsters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is Mime Jr. The little one evolves into the dear Mr. Mime, and is also one of his rival’s favorites in the game, which helps to increase his popularity.
In this guide, we’ll teach you how to capture it in the first few hours of the game, find it in its Alpha version and, to top it off, how to evolve it into Mr. Mime. Grab your Poké Balls and come with us.

The easiest place to capture Mime Jr. is right on the first map of Legends: Arceus, Obsidian Fieldlands, near the main village. Head to Horseshoe Plains – or Prado Herradura if you’re playing in Spanish – and look for the spots marked with a yellow Poké Ball in the image.
Mime Jr. is a rare Pokémon and may not be in any of the areas when you search. If this happens, don’t despair: just rest in a camp or go in and out of the village and try again until it decides to show up.
Capturing it will not be an easy task either. If the little monster notices your presence, it will flee immediately and you will have to repeat the process. Our tip is to hide in the bushes and use Honey Cake, a honey cake that is Mime Jr’s favorite food, to distract him for a few moments. Take advantage of the opening to approach from behind and throw a Poké Ball – preferably a heavy one to guarantee capture.
Since he also flees during battles, we don’t recommend attempting combat capture, although it sometimes works.

The Alpha version of Mime Jr. has more powerful stats than the normal version and is usually much larger, in addition to having a high level. To make up for it, he’s a lot harder to catch.
The first difficulty lies in its rarity. It appears in the same places as the normal version, but the chances are pretty slim. If you want one, you’ll have to go in and out of the village several times – or rely on luck.
The second difficulty is in combat, especially at the beginning. It’s possible to capture it with just a Poké Ball from the back – which is still the safest method – but the odds are low.

The eccentric Mr. Mime is one of the most popular Pokémon of the first generation, with great relevance since the first seasons of the animated series. To evolve Mime Jr. it’s simple and just don’t make a silly mistake.
The first step is to reach level 25. When that happens, Mime Jr. will be able to learn the Mimic skill: just equip the skill and your little monster will be ready to evolve.
