Al Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, faced Al Jazira, from Abu Dhabi, in a match valid for the second round of the FIFA Club World Cup, and scored 6-1. One of the goals was scored by Brazilian Matheus Pereira.
With that, Al Hilal will face Chelsea (current European champions) next Wednesday, the 9th, at 13:30 GMT. The winner of this match will be the opponent of the palm trees in the final if the Brazilian club wins its debut game, against Al Ahly, from Egypt.
The game started with Al Hilal pressing and taking control of the ball. But who opened the scoring was Al Jazira, in the 13th minute. Rabii took advantage of a good pass on the right side and played for Diaby, who inside the area kicked hard, with no chance for goalkeeper Al Mayouf.
However, Al Jazira’s advantage was short-lived, as in the 35th minute Al Hilal drew level with Ighalo. The Nigerian forward took advantage of a cross inside the area and headed with precision.
Four minutes later, the Saudi Arabian team turned the match with the Brazilian Matheus Pereira, who hit with quality, in the right corner of the goalkeeper Ali Khaseif. The players of the Abu Dhabi team complained about a possible foul earlier, but the match referee confirmed the goal.
Al Hilal continued to press and increased the advantage even more, making the opponent’s life more difficult. At 11 minutes Matheus Pereira crossed and, totally live from the mark, midfielder Kanno headed firmly in the left corner.
In the final stretch, the Arab team still scored the fourth goal, with Salem Al-Dawsari, who dribbled the goalkeeper and only needed to send it to the back of the net, the fifth with forward Marega, after a corner kick, and the sixth with Carrillo, in penalty kick.
