Freiburg/Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) – Thousands of people took to the streets in Baden-Württemberg again on Saturday to vent their displeasure with the Corona policy. In Freiburg alone, around 4,000 came together, as a police spokesman said. A counter-demonstration tried to block the protest march. As a result, the police first led the demonstrators past the blockade and then dissolved the blockade.
In another counter-demonstration, around 120 and up to 400 people initially gathered. On the side of the critics of the Corona measures, a Hitler salute was shown from the crowd, the police said in the evening – investigations had been initiated.
In Karlsruhe, the police reported about 2,000 demonstrators. At first there were several hundred, then more and more were added over time, said a spokesman. In Stuttgart, on the other hand, according to the police, several hundred people took to the streets in the city center.
According to the information, it was initially peaceful everywhere. “Distances are maintained, masks are worn,” said the spokesman in the state capital, for example. In Reutlingen, a demo announced for the afternoon was canceled at short notice, the police said. Another should take place in the evening. In addition, more than 100 people expressed their solidarity with the Corona measures on the market square.
