Olympics 2022. Norway won the mixed relay, Ukraine – 13th

On Saturday, February 5, at the biathlon stadium in China’s Zhangjiakou as part of the 2022 Olympic Games mixed relay took place.

The Ukrainian national team, represented by Valya Semerenko, Yulia Dzhima, Artem Prima and Dmitry Pidruchny, finished the fight for medals after the first stage, in which the most experienced biathlete in the team earned three penalty loops.

On the first transfer of the relay, Ukraine was the last and lost three and a half minutes to the leaders. Then, thanks to the efforts of Jima, Prima and Pidruchny, our team avoided an absolute failure and did not become a round robin, however, the 13th final position can only be regarded as a failure.

The Norwegian team won the race: Johannes Boe was ahead of the Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet and Eduard Latypov from the Russian Olympic Committee in the finish line.
