Family and friends paid their last respects in Alkmaar to two women aged 77 and 84 who died last week for life got into a collision.
Along the Vondelstraat, where the accident took place, about a hundred people formed a guard of honor for the funeral procession. “A sad day, just like the weather,” says the granddaughter of 77-year-old Lies. Her family organized the memorial prior to the funeral.
In addition to the honorary hedge, a minute of silence was also observed. Flowers were also placed at the site of the accident. “I have known Lies for fifteen years and visited her every week. This should not have happened,” says one of those present. NH News.
