A young British woman ordered an iPhone 13 Pro Max from her operator’s website. After many adventures, the carrier, DPD, ended up delivering the package. Surprise: it did not contain an Apple smartphone, but a bottle of low cost soap.
A British mother ordered an iPhone 13 Pro Max online, but the delivery probably did not go as planned, report our colleagues from Wales Online, a UK media.
Questioned by the daily, Khaoula Lafhaily, 32, explains having bought the smartphone directly on the site of its operator mobile phone, Sky Mobile. The young woman opted for a smartphone linked to a package with commitment. She paid a deposit of 150 pounds sterling, or 177 euros, and signed a 36-month contract. In total, the phone costs him more than 1800 euros.

An iPhone 13 Pro Max was stolen during delivery
The next day, DPD, the transport company, contacted her to inform her that the package would be delivered with a delay due to road traffic problems. Two days later, a man did deliver a package to her. Unfortunately, the box did not contain the long-awaited iPhone. Instead of the high-end smartphone, the young mother found a bottle of blue soap for hands.
“We live in a first floor apartment, so we have to be careful when looking out the window when we receive deliveries, otherwise they are delivered to the wrong apartment. We saw the driver pull up to our building, take a photo of the outside of the building, then drive off. The driver told us he came to the door, knocked and no one was there to come back the next day”, testifies Khaoula Lafhaily, who points to a “lie” from the driver.
Obviously, the iPhone was stolen during transport. To prevent the box from appearing empty, the thief slipped this bottle of soap the value of which does not exceed one euro. Exasperated, she quickly contacted Sky Mobile customer service to ask for an explanation. The operator has pledged to immediately open an investigation.
“I was completely in shock and I really need the phone. It was definitely stolen – it’s awful”, says the young woman. Unfortunately, stories of this ilk are legion. Last year, we brought you the story of another Brit who ordered an iPhone and received a broken tile.
