In the program entrepreneurs get the opportunity to pitch their own company to a panel of the most successful business people in our country. The NPO program would first completely disappear from the tube, but streaming service Viaplay has decided to breathe new life into it.
The fact that the face of the program is now going to leave the show will take some getting used to for the viewers. Yet Jort himself is not very sad about it. “For the presenter there was already little to do,” he says. He does look back on the show with a good feeling. “It was always nice shooting days.” In 2021 Jort took over from Sander Schimmelpenninck.

Two other ‘Dragons’ also drop out: Nikkie Plessen and Michel Perridon. They will be replaced by Manon van Essen and Bas Witvoet. Manon mainly invests in food-related start-ups and Bas is looking for it in construction, technology and (sustainable) energy.
Manon is honored with her new role in the program. I can proudly say that I will soon be able to join the new dragon in the TV program Dragons’ Den!’ she writes on Instagram.
