HBO Max will be available in the Netherlands from March 8. It has not yet been announced what the streaming service will cost. It is also not yet clear which films and series will be shown. According to a promotional image, ‘not all titles are available at launch’.
It Twitter account HBO Max Netherlands only mentions the date. In a comment the account writes More details to be announced later this month. The website hbomax.com now redirects Dutch users to a Dutch page with the option to subscribe to a newsletter.
HBO Max contains series and films from Warner Bros. HBO, Max Originals, DC and Cartoon Network. According to the image the service shows on Twitter, the offer varies by country and not all titles will be available at ‘launch’. It is obvious that HBO’s own productions will in any case be shown when the service starts in the Netherlands.
Well-known HBO series include Game of Thrones, Succession, The Leftovers, The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Love Life and Raised by Wolves. Several Warner Bros films have been released directly on the streaming service in the United States. That was about The Matrix Resurrections and Dune.
In European countries where HBO Max was previously available, the price is 9 euros per month or 70 euros per year. There were also discounts around the release. The price for the Netherlands has not yet been announced.
