Aggression, bullying and unregistered demonstrations have no place in Marktheidenfeld – in an open letter, the mayors and city councilors from Marktheidenfeld appeal to all citizens not to take part in the so-called Corona walks. In addition, they call for vaccinations – this is how you protect yourself and your fellow human beings.
For several weeks, lateral thinkers and corona deniers have been roaming the streets of Marktheidenfels every Monday, according to the authors of the letter. The walks are not registered. In addition, the participants usually do not adhere to the hygiene measures – such as keeping your distance and wearing a mask.
The mayors and city councils distance themselves decisively from the slogans and the behavior of the demonstrators. The trivialization of the term dictatorship through the neologism “corona dictatorship” is a slap in the face to those citizens who have lived and suffered under a dictatorship.
Meanwhile, the peaceful and registered events are to be welcomed, supported and respected. After all, freedom of expression is an important fundamental right.
There is now a general decree in the Main-Spessart district – the district is thus restricting corona walks. According to the authors of the letter, anyone who knowingly does not take these into account is intentionally committing an administrative offence.
