Efforts in at least eight states — Florida, Ohio, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Oklahoma and Wisconsin — are focused on replicating Texas’s anti-abortion law, which found a way around Roe and empowered ordinary citizens to sue. those who help or encourage a woman to have an abortion. More states are expected to move forward with projects similar to Texas in the coming weeks.
