Dresden – A good two years after the spectacular theft of jewels from the Green Vault in Dresden, a trial against six suspected perpetrators has begun at the local district court. The 22- to 28-year-old men were caught in several raids in Berlin and are accused of serious gang theft, arson and particularly serious arson. The investigators are convinced that criminal members of a well-known Berlin clan are responsible for the burglary.
