TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTAApple is testing a feature that allows users to use Face ID to unlock the phone even when the user is wearing mask.

This Face ID feature is available for updates iOS 15.4 beta on iPhone 12 and later devices.

Launching from the website Theverge.com, Friday (1/28/2022), Apple said the iPhone could recognize a unique feature around the eyes for authentication, but also warned that this feature would be more accurate if the user set it up without wearing a mask.

Unfortunately, not everyone can take advantage of this special feature. The 9to5Mac website confirms that the feature will work on the iPhone 12 and 13 series and the feature will not work on the 2018 iPad Pro.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many parties asked Apple to add a way to unlock the iPhone even though you are still wearing a mask to avoid removing the mask on the user’s face.
