A 27-year-old man was arrested in the night from Wednesday to Thursday after he crashed with a Mercedes on Heukelomseweg in Heukelom. This happened after a police chase, which started tens of kilometers away. The driver tried to get away at a speed of about 200 kilometers per hour, according to the police.
The chase ended at around one o’clock at the A65 exit at Berkel-Enschot. The driver probably drove straight over a roundabout, after which he lost control due to the high speed. He crashed into a lamppost and came to rest against a tree.
The police immediately arrested the driver. The suspect was treated in an ambulance for minor injuries at the scene. He was then taken to the police station. The man, with no fixed place of residence or residence, was driving without a driver’s license. He’s still stuck.
