And seven! The telephone operator Orange is now positioned in a small handful of towns in the agglomeration of Chartres (Eure-et-Loir), with its 5G offer. The mobile network is available in seven municipalities.
The latest: Ver-les-Chartres. It is added to the list of cities that already receive 5G in Eure-et-Loir: Chartres, Gellainville, Lucé, Luisant, Le Coudray, Mainvilliers, Morancez, Ver-lès-Chartres, La Chapelle-du-Noyer, Dreux , Vernouillet, Luray, Garnay.
Concretely, what does 5G change?
The 5G network has been deployed for less than a year in the department and promises speeds of up to four times faster than 4G.
Orange indicates in a press release: “5G makes it possible to avoid saturation of the 4G network and responds to the changing needs of our customers”. With this new technology, it only takes a few seconds to download files, photos, and videos of superior quality.
How to capture?
To benefit from this network, which is today the fastest of all, you must have a compatible mobile phone and be equipped with an adequate plan. Orange specifies that the brand offers “more than forty mobile references and three packages ranging from 120 to 200 GB”.
