Voting intentions of young people in the next presidential election

Ifop conducted a study for LCI to find out the voting intentions of young people in the next presidential election.

In the first round, Emmanuel Macron comes first among 18-30 year olds, with 24% of the votes cast. He is ahead of Marine Le Pen (21%), who is positioned far ahead of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, third man in this age group (13%). 9% of young people questioned express an intention to vote in favor of Éric Zemmour, 8% for Valérie Pécresse.

In view of these results, the duel in the second round, if it took place this Sunday, would be the return match of that of 2017, with Emmanuel Macron against Marine Le Pen. In this hypothesis, still among 18-30 year olds, the outgoing president would win again, with 56% of the votes cast.
