JAKARTA – The world’s first robot it was made by Ibn Ismail Al-Jazari, a mechanical engineer of the Turkish Sultanate of the Artuqid dynasty.
Summarized from various sources, his full name is Badi Al-Zaman Abullezz Ibn Alrazz Al-Jazari, in the 12th century Al-Jazari earned the nickname “Father of Robotics”.

One of his phenomenal works, The Elephant Clock, consists of a hydraulic clock in the shape of an elephant decorated with small tent decorations, as well as statues that can move and sound every 30 minutes.
The Elephant Clock itself, is said to have carried a mechanical cycle that automatically moves all parts of the clock, similar to the basic mechanics of today’s robots.
