A mysterious car was caught on camera filming on the streets of Jakarta. The car is thought to be the latest generation Honda HR-V.
In a photo uploaded to the Instagram account @bang_koboi, a car that is thought to be the all new Honda HR-V red was caught on camera shooting in Jakarta. From the side, it is clear that the design line is very identical to the latest Honda HR-V which was launched first in Japan.
Seen from the side, the design of the latest Honda HR-V looks more luxurious. The drag line from the hood runs through the door handles to the taillights. The sturdy impression of SUV cars is also depicted with firm over fenders, as well as thick skirts that add to the dashing impression of the Honda HR-V.
When confirmed, the Business Innovation and Sales & Marketing Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor, Yusak Billy, did not deny that a Honda car was filming. However, Billy did not confirm what car was filming.
“We often do marketing activities that involve taking pictures with cars, so maybe what we saw was one of these activities,” Billy said to detikcom, Tuesday (23/1/2022).
“Regardless of which model is being photographed, we always focus on the models currently being marketed, especially those with very good sales performance in Indonesia,” he continued.
When asked whether the launch of the Honda HR-V will be in the near future, Billy did not answer for sure.
“For the time of launching a new model, of course we will adjust it to market conditions and consumer needs,” said Billy.
He said that the current Honda HR-V is still selling well. Even in 2021, sales of the Honda HR-V are currently claimed to be still good.
“The total contribution of retail sales is more than 19% compared to our total retail sales (all Honda cars) in 2021,” said Billy.
Previously, signs of the latest generation of Honda HR-V that will be launched in Indonesia have been smelled since last year. The latest Honda HR-V design patent has been registered in Indonesia. Quoted from the Official Industrial Design News No.17/DI/2021 published in June 2021, it is stated that Honda Motor Co Ltd has registered its work since October 30, 2020. Meanwhile, the designer is Daisuke Akojima, who is known as the exterior designer of the New HR-V.
Not only that, Honda Motor Co., Ltd also registered several other patent designs such as the instrument panel, center console, front-rear bumper, and headlights.
