Los Angeles authorities have launched a campaign to find homes for more than 500 large dogs, due to their size they have the greatest difficulties to be adopted.
Los Angeles County Animal Services partnered with Best Friends Animal Society to create a adoption campaign focused on large dogs.
With this it is hoped that the dogs will be able to leave the shelters and find loving homes.
The county says a disproportionate amount of big dogs they don’t make it out of the shelters every year.
Adoption fees are 22 dollars and include localization and sterilization microchips.
This rate will only be applied during the campaign, since throughout the year the dog adoption fee around 50 dollars plus the fee for microchip and other medical services.
Organizers say the goal of the campaign is getting 500 or more of the largest dogs into homes In the next weeks. The campaign ends this January 31 but you can keep in touch with the organizations.
