In an interview during the Taipei Game Show 2022, From Software’s Elden Ring producer Yasuhiro Kitao was asked how long it would take to complete Elden Ring. “This will differ significantly by player, but in terms of targets set during development, the idea is that the main route should be able to be completed within around 30 hours”.
As Kitao points out, it varies enormously per player how long it actually takes to complete a game as challenging as Elden Ring. Seasoned From Software fans may take less time, while newcomers won’t be over the first boss after ten hours, despite countless failed attempts.

The game as a whole is quite massive and contains many dozens more hours’ worth of gameplay, but if we are talking about the main route only, it shouldn’t take much longer than that.
It was also announced yesterday that Elden Ring Gold is Gone, which means that the development of the game has been completed. So February 25 is the final release date; there will certainly not be more delays now!
