Netflix just released the first look at William of the Bull‘s Pinocchio. That will be his first animated film ever and in the first images we see Sebastian J. Cricket, of which Ewan McGregor voiced.
He is the cricket that lived in the wooden heart of Pinocchio, introducing the magical story. Del Toro is co-creating the film with the Jim Henson Company and ShadowMachine. It is a stop-motion film adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s book.

Del Toro said in 2018 when Netflix announced the film: “No art form has influenced my life and work as much as animation, and no character in history has such a deep personal connection to me as Pinocchio.”
