The American brand Jeep, under the wings of the Stellantis group, is betting on plug-in hybrid variants of its SUVs, marked 4xe. In Europe, cars with this drive account for a quarter of the brand’s sales.

In the electrification scale one point lower, there is a new full-hybrid version for both models. That is, one that can run short sections on electricity, but the battery cannot be recharged from the mains.
–
The combustion part of the drive is a petrol supercharged fifteen-liter engine with an output of 96 kilowatts, 130 hp, and a torque of 240 newton meters. It works in the economical Miller combustion cycle and cooperates with a new seven-stage two-clutch cabinet.
–
The electrical part is represented by a 48V electric motor with an output of 15 kW and a torque of 55 Nm, up to 135 Nm at the input to the gearbox.
–
The advantage compared to purely petrol variants is, of course, to have lower fuel consumption. And by up to 15 percent. Jeep reports a combined consumption of 5.7 – 6.1 l / 100 km for the smaller renegade and 5.6 – 6.0 l / 100 km for the compass.
–
The new drive has so far been sold on leading European markets, the Czech price has not yet been announced by the domestic representation.
