During the end of January, the CONCACAF zone will advance in its qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup. The United States of Timothy Weah are concerned.
Unsurprisingly, LOSC number 22 is one of the 28 players called up by American coach Gregg Berhalter. During this rally, the United States will face Salvador (January 28 at 1 a.m.), Canada (January 30 at 9:05 p.m.) and Honduras (February 3 at 1:30 a.m.) in order to try to get closer to a direct qualification for the next World Cup. Currently, the United States are second in the group with 15 points after 8 rounds.
This international break will have no impact for LOSC since Timothy Weah will not miss any Lille match. Indeed, following the elimination in the Coupe de France, the next match of the Mastiffs is scheduled for Sunday, February 6 against PSG. As a reminder, the weekend of January 30 is reserved for Coupe de France matches.
