Actor Arnis Līcītis has passed away
Riga, January 22, LETA. Actor Arnis Līcītis has passed away at the age of 76, his friends and colleagues report on social networks.
Actor Andris Bulis, sports photographer Zigismunds Zālmanis and “Riga Fotball Club” have shared a message of mourning, pointing out that the actor was a great person – a legend that will be sorely lacking.
According to the archives of the agency LETA, Līcītis, born on January 8, 1946, graduated from the Theater Faculty of the Latvian State Conservatory in 1970. He later worked at the Andrejs Upītis Academic Drama Theater (now the Latvian National Theater), the Valmiera Drama Theater and the Latvian Youth Theater, and since 1996 at the Russian Drama Theater.
According to publicly available information, Līcītis has been filming at the Riga Film Studio since 1965. In total, he has starred in about 150 different films, including
“Spruce in the rye field”, “The long road in the dunes”, “Mirage”, “Raspberry wine”, “Scary summer” and others.
The bay has worked for many years in Moscow, Kiev and other cities of the former Soviet Union.
In 2015 and 2013, he ran in the Riga City Council elections.
