The WhatsApp messaging application is preparing the next platform update and it is expected that the shades, colors and some functions will radically change.
This was announced by WaBetaInfo, the news site specializing in the WhatsApp messaging tool.
In the coming months, chat bubbles will have new color tones and be more rounded. This design will be more similar to that of Facebook Messenger, the social network’s messaging application.
Also, the background color will be darker and chat bubbles will be highlighted in dark mode.

Nowadays, the design is square and only the tips are slightly rounded. The new design, on the other hand, is a white bubble.
According to WaBetaInfo, The changes will be noticeable in both the light theme and the dark theme. These new palettes can be seen by users who have already updated the application, running WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.21.18.1 on mobile.
In the light theme, the color of the navigation bar has also changed, as shown in the image below, comparing the previous beta version on the left with the latest one on the right.

Finally, the dark version of WhatsApp it will become even darker than the traditional one.
OTHER CHANGES
The WhatsApp Beta 2.21.18.1 update for Android also has other news, according to WaBetaInfo.
One is the display of the date of creation of the groups in the messenger. This information had been removed by the company but they will add it back in the next update.
On the other hand, WhatsApp added new content sharing icons and in the message writing bar where it says “Write a message” it will now only say “Message”.
This latest change had already appeared to some users in a previous version and now reaches all members.
