Squid game, the Netflix hit of 2021, is officially getting a second season. That confirms Netflix, where the South Korean series can be seen. There are even hints at more. “It Squid gameuniverse has only just begun.”

If it depended on the fans and the creators, the rumors would be about Squid game has long been confirmed. “There is a lot of demand for a sequel,” creator and director Hwang Dong-hyuk said in interviews. “I almost feel like we don’t have a choice. Plans for a second season are already in my head.”
It is Ted Sarandos, co-director of Netflix, who definitively confirms the news. “There will definitely be a new season,” he says. “It Squid gameuniverse has only just begun.” For example, the boss of the streaming platform seems to hint at several seasons of the bloody series. Talks are already underway, Dong-hyuk said. “We are now also talking about season three.”
