Giroud Is Right To Reject Juventus

This weekend striker AC Milan Olivier Giroud will meet Juventus, the team he had rejected. Giroud has made the right decision.

Juventus had approached Giroud in January 2020 while still in Chelsea costume. The French striker was frustrated because he didn’t get enough playing time.

But in the end Giroud chose to stay at Stamford Bridge and help Chelsea win the Champions League the following season. After that the former Arsenal striker actually moved to Italy, but not to Turin but joined AC Milan last July.

Together with Milan, the 35-year-old footballer is in close competition with defending champions Inter Milan for the Scudetto. Meanwhile Juventus scattered in fifth place with a difference of seven points behind Rossoneri.

AC Milan will host Juve at the San Siro on Monday (24/1/2022) early morning WIB. Olivier Giroud warned his comrades to stay alert.

“I chose to stay because I wanted to show my full potential. Given how the season ended, I’ve made the right decision,” said Giroud to The Corriere dello Sport.

“They didn’t have a great start, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t tough. I admit I thought they would be able to compete for the title. Despite Ronaldo’s departure, they have a talented team. Their playamaker Paulo Dybala is a key player and a winner.”

“Juventus are still one of the best teams in Italy. They are in a good moment and we have to face them in the best possible way. They are experienced and it would be wrong to underestimate them,” straightforward Giroud ahead of the duel Milan vs Juventus this weekend.
