“We see that a new wave of the coronavirus pandemic has already begun in Ukraine, because the number of new cases of COVID-19 is growing rapidly. And Kiev will not be an exception. Therefore, we must be ready and prevent the spread of the virus among city residents as much as possible,” Starostenko said. .
She noted that since the new Omicron strain is very contagious, especially indoors, it is possible to reduce the risk of infection only by observing the basic sanitary rules: observance of the mask regime, distance and hand hygiene.
