Birth boom after shutdown and travel restrictions

Anton (1) is the start of a baby boom. In 2021, almost 3,000 more children were born in Norway than the year before.

For his first Christmas, Anton received wooden blocks as a gift from Santa Claus. Albert (left) also likes the bricks, but he prefers the excavator.

Anton crawls around on the floor at home. He gets up when he has something to hold on to. It is best when big brother Albert (2 1/2) comes home from kindergarten. Then the play will speed up.

But during the day, dad Andreas Hansen Ofstad is in charge of the entertainment. Mother Andrea Bakkevold is back at work as a nurse at Lovisenberg after maternity leave.
