American singer and actor Marvin Lee Aday, better known as Meat Loaf, died yesterday at the age of 74, his agent announced. Bat Out of Hell, his second album, released in 1977 and with songs written by Jim Steinman, had great success and is one of the best sellers in US history. The album also had two lucky sequels: Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell e Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster Is Loose.
In addition to his musical career, which led to him winning a Grammy award for the song “I’d Do Anything for Love,” Meat Loaf also stood out for his role in the 1975 film. The Rocky Horror Picture Show and, in the 1990s, for the role of Bob Paulson in Fight Club.
