This is a brand new service offered in Saint-Germain-en-Laye by La Poste.
From now on, it is possible to pass the highway code within its premises located at 7, rue Danès de Montardat.
Take the exam close to home
“La Poste having obtained the approval of the State, it now makes available some of its premises – post offices, training or meeting rooms, to allow candidates, who so wish, to take the examination of the of the road close to home in the best conditions. The tests are organized in collective or individual sites (in which the candidates are alone in reserved spaces) and this, at the price defined by the State of 30 €. »
As for the payment of this sum, the candidate wishing to pass his highway code for the car license or the motorcycle license will have to go through the La Poste website to register for an exam session.
Beforehand, the person will of course have taken care to compile their registration file with their driving school or directly via the prefecture to obtain a driver’s license candidate number.
Monday to Saturday
This new Saint-Germanois center offers 6 code sessions per day from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 2 sessions on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. and 11 a.m.
On D-Day, a La Poste agent welcomes the candidate and supervises while the candidate takes the test by answering a series of questions via a digital tablet equipped with an audio headset.

The center rue Danès de Montardat is 6e opened by La Poste in the Yvelines.
