Wertheim – A truck driver heard knocking noises from his trailer truck during his break at a truck stop on the A3 between Frankfurt and Würzburg and then discovered nine young refugees in it. According to information from the federal police, the driver parked his vehicle near Wertheim (Main-Tauber-Kreis/Baden-Württemberg) on Wednesday and called the police after the noise from his vehicle. Officers opened the truck and found nine Afghan nationals between the ages of 12 and 16 inside. How the young people got onto the semi-trailer is currently being determined. There is no suspicion against the truck driver. According to information from the federal police on Thursday, he had come from Romania via Hungary and Austria to Germany. What else he transported was not known.
