Via the official Call of Duty blog Activision explains that the postponement is due to ongoing problems in both games. On console, players struggle with game crashes and poor performance, while cheaters on PC creates chaos with flying cars.

– We will use the extra development time to release updates, including game optimization, balance adjustments for both weapons and equipment, fixing stability and errors, as well as improving the experience for players in Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare.

Unexpectedly, the announcement does not mention anything about the strike as according to The Washington Post continues at Raven Software. Several members of the studio – who are responsible for Call of Duty: Warzone – went on strike in December, in protest against Activision’s treatment of the Raven’s test team. These have now not worked for more than seven weeks.
