“The Czech Republic, historically, politically and in terms of alliances, is on the side of Ukraine. If Ukraine needs help, we will do our best to help,” Chernokhova said.
According to the minister, the supply of weapons should be coordinated with the countries of the Visegrad Four, Germany, Austria, and the Baltic countries. Chernokhova added that Ukraine should decide what kind of military materials and weapons the country needs.
The Visegrad Four includes Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.
It is reported that in the near future the head of the military forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, should arrive in Prague. Meanwhile, the Czech Defense Minister is negotiating with the commander-in-chief of the Czech army, Alyos Opata, about the possible needs of Ukraine.
The minister added that there is a positive consensus in the government coalition of the Czech Republic on the issue of Ukraine.

Joint military exercises will be held in the near future. The Czech army will send 6 of its military special forces to Ukraine for joint exercises “Silver Saber 2022” in late February or early March. The State Department gave permission to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to supply missiles and other American weapons to Ukraine. It has been reported that the UK plans to send more weapons to Ukraine. Ukraine is planning to equip an additional 2,000 units of anti-tank missile systems. The British Minister of Defense stated that he intends to continue to support the sovereignty of Ukraine and the common interests of the two countries.
