Itong Isnaeni Hidayat Surabaya District Court Judge Arrested by KPK, Who Is He?

This Isnaeni Hidayat is a judge at the Surabaya District Court (PN). Itong was caught by the KPK’s Hand Arrest Operation (OTT) this morning.

“That morning at around 05.00-05.30 WIB, the KPK came to the Surabaya District Court office and in his car was seen Brother Itong Isnaeni Hidayat SH MH, a Surabaya District Court judge. The judge of the Surabaya District Court (PN) on behalf of Itong Isnaeni Hidayat was snared by the KPK in a red-handed operation (OTT). Itong is suspected of transacting bribes related to the case in court.

Itong Isnaeni Hidayat was secured by the KPK along with the substitute clerk at the Surabaya District Court, Mohammad Hamdan. In addition to the judges and clerks, Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri said that a lawyer had been arrested. Separately, KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri only said that his team was currently working to follow up on the case.

Currently, Itong Isnaeni Hidayat and other parties who were caught by OTT are still under investigation status. The KPK has 1×24 hours to determine the legal status of those caught OTT.

Itong Isnaeni Hidayat: Ever Liberated Corruptors

When he was a judge at the Tanjungkarang District Court, Lampung, Itong Isnaeni Hidayat was a judge who tried former East Lampung Regent Satono with a corruption value of Rp 119 billion and former Central Lampung Regent Andy Achmad Sampurna Jaya with a corruption value of Rp 28 billion. At that time Itong was a member judge.

As a result, in 2011, Itong Isnaeni Hidayat released Satono and Andy. At the cassation level, Satono was finally sentenced to 15 years in prison and Andy was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

For Satono and Andy’s acquittal, Itong Isnaeni Hidayat was questioned by the Supreme Court (MA). Itong was proven to have violated a number of rules and was suspended from the Bengkulu High Court (PT).

After his suspension was restored, Itong returned to work. Before serving in the Surabaya District Court, he had served in the District Court (PN) Bandung.
