Comorian rappers celebrate the first CAN in their history with the title La Patrie
After unveiling the track a few weeks ago, the Comorian rappers have posted the clip of the Comoros anthem for the Africa Cup of Nations. Even if their team is eliminated in the first round of the competition against Gabon and Morocco (with a victory all the same 3 goals to 2 against Ghana), they wanted to sing for La Patrie. If the Comoros have made their mark on football, on the music side, the sons of the country wanted to mark the spirits. Rohff first announced that he was preparing an official anthem to accompany the country during the competition after learning of their qualification. The Vitry-sur-Seine rapper has assembled a five-star cast made up of Soprano, Alonzo, Says’z, Elams, Cheikh MC, Goulam, Vincenzo, Sultan, Fahar, Starce and Samra. The artists sign a sung, festive and joyful piece. Ideal to start this year 2022 in rhythm and energy.
The Togolese Santrinos Raphael offers a nice surprise to his fans with my life must change
Barely two weeks after the release of Kitibo, his quirky cut duet with Bebi Philip, Santrinos Raphael continues with Ma vie dbe changer. The most prominent singer of the Togolese urban scene is moving up a gear. His second album kick heart has only been in stores since September 19, 2021 and yet it already reveals a single that does not appear on this opus. As if to express the need to try something else and to tackle other subjects. Small indiscretion, Santrinos Raphael is currently staying in several cities in Western Europe for future collaborations. In Zambia, singer Kanina Kandalama is leading the musical trends with Vibes on Vibes
You may know Kanina Kandalama as her alter ego Fly Chiq Shaana who revealed her to the general public on TikTok. The Zambian singer with a split personality, signed to Nexus Music, is currently at the top of the musical trends in her country. In business since 2017, his musical career was struggling to really take off. While her relatives pointed out to her that she was not made for singing, she then tried her hand at modeling, then at theater and comedy. It was on this last activity that she really made a name for herself by interpreting the character of a trashy and vulgar girl, which opened the doors to the Chinese platform TikTok where she became very popular. For her projects, she decided to return to her first love: music. No more wanderings on the internet, Kanina Kandalema is back. It gives Vibes on Vibes.
The young Haitian singer Tayoo begins a promising career and reveals Disappointment with composer Staniski
Tayoo, whose real name is Taïna Toussaint, was born in Léogane (a town located in the west of Haiti) on February 4, 1999 in a family of four children of which she is the eldest. She studied nursing on her native island and still lives there. Passionate about music since her childhood, Taïna Toussaint realized her vocal ease at the age of 9. Well on its way to leaving its mark on Haitian music, Tayoo officially launches in 2020 with the title I am scared. Love then becomes his favorite theme. She continues with Love Biza the following year. Signed to the Focus Entertainment label, Tayoo unveiled Deception last December. A third piece, produced by Guadeloupean composer Samuel Staniski, which talks about a breakup. Tayoo is concocting an EP which will be available in the first quarter of 2022. To be continued.
In Nigeria, the future superstar is undoubtedly Ruger and his title Snapchat
Last year he made the planet dance with his single Bounce, taken from his first EP Pandemic. Ruger is the new face of the hilarious producer Don Jazzy’s Mavin Record label. Very quickly, Ruger followed up with his second EP Second Wave in which we find the title Dior but especially the Snapchat tidal wave. The pink-haired, soft-spoken artist has a knack for releasing nothing but addictive melodies. In Snapchat, he talks about a girl who sends him… Snapchats. And the result is quite explicit without being vulgar. Ruger is starting his year on a high note. Currently booming, 2022 won’t happen without him and his pidgin-tinged flow.
In Uganda, the female duo to watch is Kataleya & Kandle with their song Do Me
It was only in the month of July 2021 that girl group Kataleya and Kandle appeared on Ugandan recording industry radars with the song Muzibe of Love. The young and sparkling duo signed to Theron Music is on the way to becoming the star group in Uganda for this year 2022. Muzibe of Love is a sweet afro r’n’b song mixed with urban rhythms. Kataleya and Kandle are childhood friends and it is therefore quite natural that they decided to embark on the musical adventure together. “We both loved music and there was no such thing as a girl duo when we started singing in Uganda”, Kataleya told the online site Matooke Republic (in English). The two young women searched for a producer for a long time without success, then they decided to start anyway and they made the right choice. Do Me follows the previous single Tonnafuya.
Burundian singer from Kenya, Kidum, back with lady, an afrozouk song
Veteran Jean-Pierre Nimbona, whom we introduced you to here on June 2, is back. Settled in Kenya since 1995, the so-called Kidum continues to shower his audience with new productions since 2001. At 47, the artist is more prolific than ever. Last year he offered no less than four titles: We are not leaving, Why Lie, I gasped and finally Receive Praise. That is, a single every 3 months. A regularity to which he remains faithful over the years. To start 2022 as it should, he posted lady, a new Afrozouk-style song inspired by him on his way to a car wash in Nairobi. He met a fan who was amazed at his simplicity and asked him for a selfie. At the end of this meeting, he immediately went to the studio to immortalize this moment through a text of which he has the secret. Not bad is not it ?
