Eneco, the third largest energy supplier in the country, will extend the price guarantee for a group of 13,000 customers. The company announced this on Thursday.

In December, Eneco wrote to a group of customers – a total of 18,000 connections or 13,000 customers – who had a contract of indefinite duration but whose price guarantee had expired. Eneco offered them a variable contract. This led to many complaints from customers. After all, the rates on the market today are many times higher than when the customers concluded a contract.
The big boss of Eneco Belgium, CEO Jean-Jacques Delmée, gave Thursday in the Radio 2 program From inspector admit that it is a confusing situation. The company has therefore decided to return the situation for that group of customers to how it was before writing, according to the CEO.
In concrete terms, the price guarantee will be extended one more time for that group of 13,000 customers, the company explains.
