Rea Garvey’s Germany tour has already been postponed several times due to the corona. The entire tour has now been finally cancelled. Reasons for this are the ongoing pandemic and the associated restrictions and bans, which vary from state to state. The decision was made “with a heavy heart,” Garvey said. The price for tickets already purchased will be refunded at the respective ticket offices.
Garvey himself wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to cancel our upcoming Hy Brasil tour in January/February 2022. After being postponed three times, after much deliberation, we have now decided that it is best to cancel and start over. My band, my crew, my team and I have been preparing for weeks for a tour that will never take place, instead we are left with a great void. We know you’ve been counting down the days to the tour, as have we, so I can imagine we’re sharing that sense of disappointment right now.”
Garvey wants to contribute to “an end to this pandemic”.
“I am not a scientist but I think the decision is right, with the new strain of the virus (omicron) it is uncertain what will happen in the next few months. We have all heard the warnings from scientists, the cries for help from the medical community, the pleas from virologists and experts on COVID to reduce contact as much as possible. For this reason, we have no choice but to cancel the “Hey Brasil” concerts to contribute to an end to this pandemic,” continues the singer.
