Government Guarantees Cooking Oil Stock of IDR 14,000 Per Liter, Aprindo: Residents Don’t “Panic Buying” All

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) urges the public not to rush or panic buying cooking oil IDR 14,000 per liter.

General Chairperson of Aprindo Roy N Mandey said the stock was guaranteed safe by the government so that all people have the right to get their rights to meet their needs for cooking oil.

“Shop normally and reasonably according to your needs and stay committed and disciplined to carry out the Health Protocol (Prokes) at this time, during the pandemic that we are tackling together, so that apart from our basic needs (cooking oil) can be met, our health is maintained,” ” said Roy Mandey in a press release, Wednesday (19/1/2022).

“The availability of cooking oil stocks is the Government’s commitment through the official release of the Ministry of Trade, to meet the people’s food needs at stable and affordable prices,” he continued.

Roy said that his party will continue to support the concrete implementation of the government’s program in the availability of cooking oil at one price for all levels of society, by providing selling cooking oil for Rp. 14,000 per one liter.

The program is active and concrete starting Wednesday (19/1/2022) at all Aprindo Modern Retail Member outlets throughout Indonesia.

Retailer selling old stock cooking oil for Rp. 14,000, while waiting for new stock

“We provide cooking oil, both simple and premium packaging with sizes starting from 1 liter, sold at the same price, which is Rp. 14,000, using the current stock or stock of cooking oil in every outlet/store while waiting for the supply of cooking oil from distributors & producers. who have been assigned by the government,” said Roy.

“Aprindo is of course always ready to support the government to stabilize food prices, including stability cooking oil price currently it is volatile and fluctuating, so it is more affordable that all levels of Indonesian society can spend, with the purchase of 2 liters of cooking oil for consumption per consumer, as an equal distribution for all consumers to get cooking oil,” he continued.
