An exceptional drug intake for an extraordinary modus operandi: a man was arrested on the night of Saturday to Sunday in the middle of the Gare de Lyon, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris, with 58 kilos of cocaine hidden in his luggage, found The Parisian.
The customs officers stopped him to search his large suitcase, which contained this merchandise, the value of which is estimated at more than three million euros for resale. It is unclear whether they were responding to a report.
The man, a 40-year-old, was taken into custody. According to the Ile-de-France daily, he says he is terrified by the sponsors.
Such a seizure in a Parisian station is unusual: during the last six months, seizures of cocaine had not exceeded 13 kilos in these places of passage.
