E-mobility online guide from WK Wien helps to promote the fleet conversion in the company. 13,000 hits since the start.
Vienna (OTS) – Statistics Austria presented the number of new car registrations including e-vehicles for 2021 yesterday. In Vienna, companies accounted for almost 90 percent of new registrations of e-vehicles. “This shows that the economy is the driving force in Vienna’s mobility turnaround. We will continue to support them in this,” says Davor Sertic, Head of the Transport and Traffic Division.
A total of 5,204 e-cars were registered in Vienna in the previous year for legal entities, i.e. companies, local authorities and the like. This is the second highest value in Austria after Upper Austria. Likewise, 771 purely electric light trucks were newly registered at companies. “Last year the number of registrations almost doubled again. Thanks to a good public charging infrastructure, Viennese entrepreneurs are increasingly turning to e-mobility. The advantages are clear: e-vehicles are a little more expensive to buy, but cheaper in the medium term, not only protecting your wallet, but also the environment,” says Sertic.
With the online e-mobility guide, WK Wien provides all interested parties with a tool to quickly and comprehensively find out about the options for changing the fleet in the company. 13,000 people have used it since it was launched in September. It offers an overview of all the options for topping up, information on funding and, if necessary, also arranges an appointment for a funding discussion.
“The access numbers show that there is great interest in e-mobility in business. Politicians are now required to provide the perfect framework for the fleet conversion: large-scale and easily accessible charging options as well as subsidies for those who want to drive the mobility transition forward,” says Sertic.
