Zell im Wiesental: Burnt food on the stove triggers the fire brigade – the Zell fire brigade was on duty with 5 vehicles and 24 people

A resident of Felsenweg reported on Sunday, January 16th, 2022
around 4:00 p.m. a smoke alarm went off and there was a strong smell of smoke in a neighboring apartment. Ringing and knocking went unanswered. Since it could not be ruled out that there were people in the apartment, the fire brigade opened the door. The trigger for the smoke was a pot with burnt food on the hot stove.

There were no people in the apartment. The 54-year-old tenant of the apartment could be reached by phone and informed by the 60-year-old neighbor. He came home shortly afterwards. After the apartment had been ventilated and the door lock had been repaired by the fire brigade, it was handed back to the tenant. It is not yet clear whether property damage has occurred. The Zell fire brigade was deployed with 5 vehicles and 24 people.
