Prime Minister Malaysia, Ismail Sabri Yaakob, granted citizenship status to Rohana Abdullah, a girl of descent Indonesia abandoned by his mother when he was a baby.

In the upload, Ismail told that he knew Rohana’s whereabouts when the girl became a conversation on social media. Rohana is attracting attention because of her life story with her Chinese adoptive mother, Chee Hoi Lan.

News agency Between reported that Rohana’s biological mother was a janitor at the school where Chee worked. However, the mother returned to Indonesia and did not return.

Chee has been taking care of Rohana since she was 2 months old. Even though they have different religions and nationalities, they live in harmony.

According to Ismail, Rohana was brought up well and received an Islamic education even though her adoptive mother was of a different religion.

“For Chee Hoi Lan, thank you. Best regards from me for taking care of Rohana with unlimited love,” wrote Ismail.

At the end of his statement, Ismail said, “This is the Malaysian family. Our family.”
