Sony moves CD and gaming production from Indiana to Salzburg

Sony DADC will shut down its plant in Terre Haute, Indiana, in the middle of the year and relocate all disc and gaming production to Thalgau near Salzburg.

100 workers at the US plant lose their jobs. The plant in western Indiana began in the 1980s as the first manufacturer of compact discs (CD) in the United States, the news agency “Associated Press” reported on Friday.
