The incident, which took place around 7.45 pm, has been captured very sharply on surveillance images from the Rogier metro station. You can see how the woman falls forward on the track, and how seconds later the train stops right in front of her.

The woman was not injured, a spokesperson for public transport in Brussels said. She is, however, in shock, just like the train conductor.
The newspaper De Morgen reports that a suspect has been arrested, but that has not yet been confirmed by the Public Prosecution Service.
