The private train provider Flixtrain is expanding its range of services for the timetable change. From December 12, it will be possible to travel with some Flixtrain trains from Bremen to Frankfurt Airport and on to Munich without having to change trains. Because from next Sunday on, this train will no longer end in Cologne. It’s about the train that leaves Bremen at 9.49 in the morning. It stops in Cologne at 12.56 p.m. and then continues along the Rhine route via Bonn and Koblenz to Frankfurt Airport, where the train stops at 3.15 p.m. Then it continues via Würzburg and to Munich Central Station (arrival 7:07 p.m.). The journey time from Bremen to Munich is nine hours and 18 minutes. The train is usually used from Wednesday to Sunday.
In the opposite direction, the Flixtrain should always run from Thursday to Monday from Munich via Frankfurt Airport and Cologne to Bremen. It starts in Munich at 8:53 a.m., is in Cologne at 3:01 p.m. and in Bremen at 6:10 p.m. In addition, Flixtrain will now run a second train every afternoon from Bremen to Cologne and vice versa every morning from Cologne to Bremen.
According to Flixtrain, 18 destinations can then be reached from Bremen with this train. Tickets are available from three euros upwards. In the coming weeks, trips from Bremen to Hamburg will already be available at this price on some days. A seat reservation is included in the price. According to Flixtrain, the Corona 3G rule is implemented through random checks.
Since last May, the Flixtrain has also stopped in Bremen. The start back then was on time, but in the weeks that followed, the train had to contend with a number of delays and train cancellations. The Flixtrain start was actually planned for the timetable change a year ago. The company, which also owns Flixbus, suspended the trains because of the corona pandemic.
